HI,
There are four environment variables that you can define on your client to influence how the client behaves when it loses its connection to the session manager, e.g., change the configuration to wait for SSM restart.
SOAM_RECONNECTION_RETRY_INTERVAL
SOAM_RECONNECTION_RETRY_LIMIT
SOAM_RELOCATED_RECONNECTION_RETRY_INTERVAL
SOAM_RELOCATED_RECONNECTION_RETRY_LIMIT
Refer to IBM Documentation for the detail.
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/spectrum-symphony/7.3.2?topic=adt-what-happens-when-client-temporarily-loses-connection-spectrum-symphony
When client connection is kept until SSM restart, the recoverable session or workload submitted thought SMC can continue the calculation.
However, for "unrecoverable sessions" and submit to silo symphony cluster directly, the existing sessions will exit due to SSM crash, symphony client needs to handle this via re-created the affected sessions.
Let's know if anyhting is not clear.
Thanks, Dennis
