James,

What is the Symphony version involved, Symphony 7.3.0? It’s new use case, we need to investigate the feasibility first, at the meantime, could you log an RFE to trace it?

Regards,

-Dennis

Subject: Question regarding 7.3 package
Importance: High

Hi Jeff/Dennis, an issue has come up in testing the new package that has resulted in our needing further (reasonably urgent) support:

We have applications compiled against 'Platform.Symphony.Soam.Net4.0_64’ and 'Platform.Symphony.Soam.Net4’ version 7.1.2. The current package we need for migration is version 7.3, and there is no automatic redirection between the versions.

It would be operationally easiest for us to have a central redirection under 7.1 that points to 7.3, ideally as publisher redirection policy per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/configure-apps/how-to-create-a-publisher-policy

Are you able to confirm that there is compatibility between 7.1.2 and 7.3 versions such that applications previously using 7.1.2 would work when redirected to 7.3, or were there any breaking changes?

If no breaking changes, would you be able to provide Platform Symphony 7.3 installation that includes publisher redirection policy from 7.1 to 7.3? and lastly what would the timeframes be for delivery?

Regards,

James Stuart
