We changed the Oracle support policy from v6.1.1 and it make customer hard now.
Symphony v6.1.1 support only Oracle Enterprise edition.
It is barrier for customer to upgrade Symphony now.
Old version Symphony (v6.1.0.1, v5.x) supported Oracle and its edition doesn't matter.
We supported Oracle standard edition and other editions.
I took contact with QA team and confirmed.
If customer use other editions (e.g. Standard Ed), we don't support it.
It make customer hard because of license fee of Oracle database.
In Japan case, Enterprise Ed is about $50,000/processor.
Standard Ed is about $20,000/processor. 2.5 times different.
We shouldn't make customer to pay such cost with v6.1.1.
It will be big trouble when v5.x user will upgrade Symphony in the future.

.Oracle Enterprise Edition is required for production use, and product reliability and performance is critical important to client. While Standard Edition can be supported for evaluation purpose but not for production.
