Currently IBM Symphony (including Spectrum , SMC, ) requires Linux root level access (egosetsudoers.sh) to run this product in EGO_Simplified_WEM=No
This elevated access for symphony processes is flagged as security risk for all our infrastructure in Wells Fargo. This applies to master hosts, SSM's & compute hosts.
This was discussed with your teams before and looks like we need to have solution for this risk soon. Going forward we will not be able to get approval for this root exception.
What are the options available from IBM to eliminate this elevated access for Symphony process?
We see same issue with 7.2 spectrum also.
Versions : 7.1.x & 7.2.1

.Symphony will needs to run lim and pem as root so user impersonation for running application as different user is possible. Any other processes do not un as root.
