Open Restful API for Symphony management. CLI commands aren't efficient when it comes to automatize application creation/delation/modification without having a SSH/PSexec access to the grid which is not safe. More generally, Symphony should be more open to "Infrastructure As Code" when it comes to manage resources guaranteed, consumer management, application management. Symphony has RESTful API for managing consumer, resource group, but not for application. Application management RESTful API can be a new RFE. But consumer management, resource group management APIs are already implemented.
It is more about having Restful API for everything on Symphony so a regular "cloud hybrid developer" can do everything in a restful fashion like monitoring the workload, manage its application, manage the configuration etc. The goal here is to achieve 100% of automatism with Restful API. We could then consisider with the restful proxy that there is no need to implement others way to use Symphony if there is no need for better latencies.

.There is active roadmap project ongoing to expand REST coverage for application and workload management. There is no plan to provide the function for older version like 7.1.
.This requirement is aligned with Symphony roadmap development plan to extend REST api coverage.
This RFE's Headline was changed after submission to reflect the headline of an internal request we were already considering, but will now track here.
We are targeting REST API updates with each roadmap release going forward. Our goal is to improve the scope of the REST API incrementally over time.
