This portal is to open public enhancement requests against products and services offered by the IBM Data & AI organization. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
Shape the future of IBM!
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Search existing ideas
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updateson them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Expose endpoint url as configurable parameter in Host Factory
Out bank server are in a private and secured network, and dont have visibility to AWS directly.
So for when we use AWS Client, when connecting we need to specify an --endpoint-url option to not use default ec2.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com:443, given that when we use that address, we get an connection timeout.
aws ec2 describe-instances --profile default --endpoint-url https://ec2.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com:443
Connect timeout on endpoint URL: "https://ec2.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com:443/"
To circumvent these issues, BBVA and AWS set up endpoints to attack AWS services through IP's which the servers have access to (found in VPC-> Endpoints -> Services).
With these, we can access AWS via Client without issue setting --endpoint-url option:
aws ec2 describe-instances --profile default --endpoint-url https://vpce-0fe79612078a1ab7c-idd8hzys.ec2.eu-west-1.vpce.amazonaws.com:443 <-- OK
Our need is to be able to override default Endpoint is EC2 services:
Choosing a Specific Endpoint
Each AWS client can be configured to use a specific endpoint within a region by calling the withEndpointConfiguration method when creating the client.
For example, to configure the Amazon S3 client to use the Europe (Ireland) Region, use the following code.
AmazonS3 s3 = AmazonS3ClientBuilder.standard()
We cant make use of HostFactory given this issue, and supose same happens to similar clients, so appying RFE is good for both parts.
