The Symphony Doc above includes the steps to setup k8s env, these steps are not necessary in EKS env, only need:
a. step 2> to Build an IBM Spectrum Symphony Docker image.
b. step 7>, 8>, 9>, 10> to run symphony in K8S env, only basic K8S features are used, not likely changed in latest K8S.
To add context, Symphony lists support for the following in https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/spectrum-symphony/7.3.2?topic=management-deploying-spectrum-symphony-cluster-kubernetes-docker-containers.
Cluster deployment of IBM Spectrum Symphony with Kubernetes is supported by the following third-party software:
Docker 1.9.1 or later (see Supported Docker versions for details)
However EKS appears to uses newer versions of these components.
We need integration solution to run symphony on EKS
Symphony can run in pods in any K8s. However, there is no plan to do the integration with EKS.
