Enabling the Parallel processing based on Compute Express Link CXL 3.0 or CXL 4.0 Fabrics

CXL 3.0 is built upon the IBM OpenCAPI, but CXL3 and CXL 4  have more speeds and will achieve the following:

1- Enabling the Interconnection between IBM  LinuxONE  and Exa scale AI Data Centers based on  Nvidia DGX H100 based on Nvidia H100 GPUs and Intel Xeon Scalable Processor (Now, 4th generation Xeon Scalable Processor  supports CXL 1.1 , but in the future versions they will support CXL 2.0  or CXL 3.0).

2- Enabling the interconnection between the IBM Z LinuxONE and the future versions of  IBM Power Systems, the interconnection can achieve the Memory Area Network, which will push the integration between the IBM z Linux ONE and IBM Power to the Next level of Future AI Data centers.

3- Enabling the the future versions of IBM z or LinuxONE and IBM Power systems with advanced  interconnections based on the CXL 3.0 or CXL 4.0 Networking Hierarchical Switches, which enable the CXL Devices, e.g.  FPGA Devices, Memory Devices, Data Storage Devices and other futuristic devices.

    Dear Mr. Bill,
In HPC workload management, I will suggest IBM Spectrum LSF as a commercial, optimized workload manager. also I will suggest the SLURM with all our research ideas.
Please read the following article which you may take it into consideration.

    Dear Mr. Bill,
Thank you very much for your kind response.
Kindly, I tried to give my point of view about the SuperPOD in the future, I think the SuperPOD sooner or later will be connected by using the CXL 3.0 or CXL 4.0 interconnections.
When I give suggestions about the MPI either openMPI or MVAPICH, because I think the CXL 3.0 interconnections has 3 types related to memory , IO devices and Cache coherency, all of these mpi will be redesigned to use the CXL interconnections efficiently more than the Infiniband.
My suggestion is May be in the future, IBM will redesign the Spectrum Scale, Spectrum Symphony and may be Spectrum LSF, with taking into consideration the new capabilities of Intel Agilex 7 series or other FPGA devices.
I have a research about the future design of cloud, edge computing a d HPC, I will share my research ideas to you and to other colleague for scientific purposes.

    Thanks with kindest regards,

This is a duplicate of the same request submitted under LSF
