Modified pipeline parameter values are not reflected in the jobs without manual edit

The modified pipeline parameters are not automatically reflected in the associated jobs after publishing a pipeline with a newer version. This behavior is consistent across both the On-Prem ControlHub and Platform Control Hub though with slight differences.

  1. On-Prem SCH:
  • After publishing a new version of the pipeline with the modified parameters, the associated job does not automatically reflect the new parameter values.
  • To update the job with the modified pipeline parameter values, we need to manually edit each associated job and click the “Get Default Parameters“ option.

2. Platform SCH:

  • Similar to the On-Prem SCH, the modified pipeline parameters are not automatically reflected in the associated jobs after publishing a pipeline with a newer version.
  • However, since there is no “Get Default Parameters“ option in Platform, the modified parameter values only appear in the job configuration after editing and saving the job post publishing.
  • Given the number of the jobs associated with each pipeline, this manual process is highly inefficient.

We request an enhancement or fix that allows the modified pipeline parameter to be automatically reflected in all the associated jobs upon pipeline version upgrade eliminating the need for manual edits.
