Orchestrator connection - Test connection must check that API creds are valid for the organization

This is related to the :

Support Case TS020495554: "Connection is successful using API Credential from another Organization",

Engineering intervention: INT-3683.

Please check the attachment for detailed steps to reproduce the issue.

Issue: Humana has multiple platform organizations on the same instance i.e. na03. When creating a connection in org1 if they provide API creds from org2, the connection test indicates success (Green tick). They did not come to know that they needed to change the API creds provided in the connection, until the job eventually did not start.

Reason:

The orchestrator stages are using the REST interface directly.

During “test connection” for an orchestrator connection, API creds are checked against the hosting instance (na03 in this case), and the connection test succeeds, but org scope (i.e. whether the API creds are for a user in the current org where the connection is) is not checked.

This is a false positive indication from this connection test.

Please add the check for org scope of API creds when testing orchestrator connections.

    Hi all,

We reviewed this with the team and can confirm this behavior is intended. Customers may need to orchestrate pipelines between organizations and use API credentials to do so, validating a connection with external credentials is the expected behavior in this case. We could consider a feature to disallow credentials from outside the organization but this type of restriction is better suited to our Network Access Rules feature in our opinion

Hi Dhanashri, this is a bug and already has an INT so no idea is needed here
