Hi Miguel Angel, I believe it is a mix of both. The issue is that the customer wants to use systemModstamp, but the values are not guaranteed to be unique. In the engineering intervention, there had to be logic added to the slicing algorithm to compensate for Salesforce's API use of systemModstamp having a granularity of one second when making comparisons in the SOQL queries. Also in the intervention, an approach was explored to use Id as composite to ensure uniqueness. Please let me know if this helps or if you have any questions.

Hello Philip, I have a question regarding the use with PK chunking.
The team would like to know this because it’s not entirely clear to us what they mean by “with PK chunking”—whether you are referring to Salesforce’s own PK chunking or the one we do internally in the stage.
This is important because the staging environment already uses record partitioning, which is somewhat similar to what Salesforce does when PK chunking is enabled (which appears to be automatic for Bulk API 2.0, while for the legacy Bulk API it’s enabled via a header).
If they knew why you need it, they could determine which solution is best suited. Or at least figure out how the staging environment should be configured correctly.
