custom-conda-channel

Would be awesome for IBM DSX to support conda channels and packages management in DSX –
similar to Anaconda Enterprise and Artifactory Conda [1]

Here’s some my ideas

  • Ability to create custom channels
    • DSX currently can only expose public repos from conda.org
  • Define what channels consists of which packages and versions
  • Ability to share conda repo to projects, and as a web endpoint
    • Authorization through DSX tokens, or with username/password used by DSX
  • Versioning for local DSX channels’ changes
    • Compare between versions
    • Rollback changes
    • Perhaps git integration
  • UI similar to Anaconda Enterprise or Artifactory
  • Upload to conda channel from a separate server
    • using curl for example
  • Cache upstream conda channels

What DSX can do currently is covered here https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSAS34_1.2.1/local/condamanagement.html (pretty basic)

Thanks,

Ruslan
