Quick Scan job - Selected 100 schemas and if it discovers only 85 the remaining should show up to match

Tested using ICP4D MARIA environment.

Steps to Reproduce

Log in to MARIA ICP4D

navigate to Quick Scan

Selected 100 schemas and discovered only 65. No status on other missed schemas. Even if it has ) Tables it should count that also to match up the Quick Result Action Required Tab. I see some of the tables not discovered has data. These are the 3 tables I see the tables and not empty. These 3 tables were expected to discover also. If the job skips for some reason we should have a display for the user to show which table has 0 and which ones did not discover would be helpful to avoid the user confusion.

Expected Result: 100 schemas should display to match the Quick Scan Result screen

Actual Result: 65 schemas displays.

Needed By Not sure -- Just thought it was cool

Hello, quick scan has been deprecated so marking this as not under consideration. If the issue persist with Metadata Enrichment, please open a new aha idea.

Thanks Sudha. We updated our documentation to reflect the current behavior. In our new Metadata Import functionality, we will look at this as a potential enhancement

No. It is not the job. when discovered there if there is a blank table it will not count that as discovered. It only shows the discovered tables with data count. user will be confused with this. I want to see all the status for the schema or table I select. I hope you understand. If you still have questions, you can check with Weiren or let me know. The schema selected for discovery count and the screen display should match for 100 instead of 85. thanks.

Thanks Sudha. I'm getting someone on the dev team to take a closer look. It sounds like there were tables that were not "discovered" - what do you mean by this? Did the analysis fail as part of this job? If you are able to pull the logs, it will help us accelerate triaging this issue. Thanks

Naomi, Quick scan runs successfully. however the schema we ran or the discovery jobs does not match the screen display. ex: If a user selects 100 schemas and 30 are empty or whatever the reason it did not analyze or complete there is no display. It only displays 65 discovered vs 100? please let me know. thanks.

Thanks Sudha! To help clarify, did the Quick Scan job run successfully? Are you able to access the logs? I'm wondering if this is an issue with the job itself. Thanks
