Request to Have a Pause Option for MDI/MDE Job from UI & API Level

  1. The DBA of XYZ Database will be giving a timely schedule (~Cool Period to Database) to run MDI & MDE Job due to Huge/Multiple Users Connections to DB at peak Hours.

  2. Let's say if I scheduled a Job to run on a particular interval of time, if the Job is big, it is going beyond the time expected/scheduled time given by DBA.

  3. So here the request is, can we have a pause option (From UI & API Level) to stop the job if it exceeds the Scheduled time given by DBA Team, on the next day to resume the same job, where it got paused

    1. So here there is a catch that, If I ran a job of 1000 Assets, If I paused it at the 500th Asset, on the next day it needs to be started from 501th Asset instead of starting from the 1st Asset

This would be a very good capability. As data volumes and scope grow being able to pause and continue would improve the efficiency of the MDI/MDE resources and decrease the contention of source resources and schedules.
