Filtering Catalogs assets by custom attribute values

In our current IGC setup, we have the functionality to create custom attributes and allows users to filter the catalog by these custom attributes. On the catalog screen, example users can select the database asset type and then filter results using custom attribute values and can as well efficiently input multiple values for various fields at the same time, which narrows down the search results effectively and other different user-based communities to work on different business cases.

Challenges with the New IKC 4.8.1:

I attempted to replicate this functionality in IKC. While creating custom attributes at Connection level and I encountered significant limitation.

IKC supports searching custom attributes/properties globally by Key value pair. However Key-value pair information is only accessible to admin roles, which means regular users can't utilize this feature effectively. Which means we must continuously update training documents and socializing new custom attributes to user groups is not sustainable and adds to the administrative burden.

There is design flaw in the current IKC version 4.8.1: It lacks the option to filter custom attributes/properties, which hampers our ability to search and filter the catalog effectively, impacting our Organization Easy Search. this issue.
