Current Challenges:We currently manage around 10-15 custom attributes manually in IBM Information Governance Catalog (IGC). However, the data for these attributes resides in Denodo, leading to inefficiencies and the potential for errors during manual updates.
Enhancement Request:
In IBM Knowledge Catalog (IKC) version 4.8.1, we have successfully used the JDBC connector to establish a connection with Denodo and import metadata. We would like to enhance this capability by automatically populating IKC custom attributes at the Catalog level with data sourced directly from Denodo columns. This feature should allow us to tie custom attribute values to a dataset imported from Denodo. Additionally, if the data is refreshed quarterly, the custom attributes should automatically update, with a version history maintained to track changes over time.
Business Value:
Automating the population of custom attributes will significantly reduce manual efforts, enhance data accuracy, and provide a clear audit trail of changes. This will streamline the Information Governance Mapping process and ensure that the most up-to-date information is always available in IKC.

Hi Pallavi, the team is currently building a new Cloud Pak for Data Connector for Denodo which will allow for additional functionality and support beyond what is possible with the generic jdbc connector. I think it would be best to get on a call to understand what you have done with the JDBC connector and discuss the functionality that is still missing. I will work with Jerry to set something up.
