We have a similar requirement in design now. The following is the description of that requirement.
As a catalog user, I can select (and remember) which columns to display in the asset listing grid and columns grid (and potentially relationships table as well), so that the information that are most important to me are readily available, and I don't have to click on each item to view additional details. For example, the problem with the asset listing grid today is that all assets are listed in as a flat list, and I don't have context on where that asset originated from, which will determine which asset that is relevant to me. And in the columns grid, perhaps I'd prefer to see the Gen AI display name.

Asset context path (connection path), e.g. for BI Report Query Item
Display name created by Gen AI
We are targeting delivery for this item in late 2025, with additional configuration enhancements planned for 2026.
