Industry Accelerator "SAP": Proactive Enhancement of IBM Knowledge Catalog (IKC) and watsonx.data for German SAP Customers and SAP BW Migrations

To maintain and grow IBM’s relevance in the SAP ecosystem—especially for German-speaking customers—we must proactively enhance our catalog and metadata solutions (IKC and watsonx.data) to deeply support German language, SAP-specific metadata, and SAP BW to Lakehouse migration scenarios. The competitive landscape is rapidly shifting, with Databricks and Collibra forming strong alliances with SAP and advancing their metadata and AI-driven governance capabilities. We must not be reactive and risk losing ground; instead, we need to lead with a differentiated, SAP- and German-optimized offering.
