Propagate Project Review Status to the Catalog

In IBM Cloud Pak for Data, projects often undergo internal review processes. However, the review status of a project is not currently reflected in the catalog where its assets are published. This creates a disconnect between the project lifecycle and the catalog, which is the primary point of discovery and consumption for other users.

The proposal is to introduce a mechanism to synchronize the review status of a project with the catalog so that when a project asset is published to the catalog, its review status is also displayed so catalog users can quickly identify whether an asset has been formally reviewed and approved, without needing to navigate back to the project workspace and the review status is automatically updated if it changes in the project.

Hi Maria, thank you for submitting the Aha Idea. While most customers would manage a given asset in one project then publish to one target catalog, it is technically possible that the same asset can be updated and reviewed from multiple projects and published to the same catalog. For example, some customers may have different teams enriching different aspects of the asset through different projects. As such there is no guarantee that this is always a one-to-one relationship between an asset being reviewed in a project and the published asset in a catalog. As a result, the proposed enhancement request will not be considered for our roadmap.

    Regards,
