They want to make the catalog available for users who can only: access catalog, view tables within the catalog and access virtual tables by connecting to DV. They would like to limit this users and prevent them to create a project. I believe the current options we have available for the custom role creation does not support this use case.
Hi, this client would like to create a user role with only the following permissions: accessing data catalogs and consuming data from Data Virtualization. They want to restrict this group of users from being added to projects on CP4D. Today, they created a role called “Restricted User,” but there is currently no way to prevent these users from being added to projects by other users.
I added a print image to show you what is the client's suggested enhancement. The idea is to create an assignment similar to the existing one that restricts users from creating and viewing DataStage flows (highlighted in pink), but applied to the projects area (highlighted in yellow). The goal is to ensure that this user profile remains strictly limited to viewing the data catalog on the platform.
