The idea is to use IBM’s Watsonx to tackle the challenge of legacy code modernization. Specifically, Watsonx would be leveraged to read and understand Synon-generated RPG and COBOL code. It would provide detailed explainability of the code's functionality, helping companies understand their legacy systems. Additionally, Watsonx would facilitate the automated conversion of this code into Java, a modern programming language, and generate a working demo with associated data. This would showcase the translated code in action and allow for a smooth transition to modern architectures.
