Cobol to Java Transformation - Suppress Missing Copybook Error Message when Copybooks are not Required.

When preparing the Cobol to Java transformation, an Exclamation error message may be displayed indicating that copybooks are missing.

 “COBOL transformation preparation completed.   Some copybooks were not found, potentially affecting the transformation process.

Missing Copybooks:   DEFVAR, DFHEIBLK, DFHEIVAR, DIBSTAT”

 

The scanner determined that those system copybooks were needed.  Some of them because the OPTION_CICS=1 is set in the scanner configuration file by default, whether or not CICS is involved.  The development team indicated that this message is just a warning and can be ignored. 

 

For cobol programs that do not need any copybooks, this message is misleading.  Please update the code so that only required copybooks are mentioned in such error messages or indicate which setting is causing the copybooks to be flagged as missing.
