CPU and Memory Usage Monitor

Lack of basic CPU and Memory usage monitors for runtime environments is a heavy shortcoming while developing and optimizing performance. With the insight offered by a basic performance monitor, it will be much easier to scale up to larger compute environments and lessen dependencies on on-premises resources.

Cloud pak for Data provides a way to monitor resources on the plaform - https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSQNUZ_3.0.1/cpd/admin/deployments.html.

Please open a new features request with Watson Assistant team for any specific requirements related to that product.

The CP4D version of WA should also support the same metrics that are available in the Public Cloud on the “Analytics” tab.

A metric like the amount of customer API calls to WA (per skill) during a specific time period is very important for analysing the acceptance of a Virtual Assistant.

Further, being able to analyse which type of intents and entities were triggered as well as being able to drill into the content and flow of the user conversations is important for improving the quality of the system and being alarmed for about major issues.

Likewise to the Public Cloud version, there should be the possibility to download these metrics as logs via an API call so they can be imported into a database for further analysis or visualisation.

The same type of metrics would be very helpful for other add-ons like Watson Assistant !

This type of information helps administrators to plan for possible env. upgrades if necessary
