Python 2.7 is no longer supported and we have asked customers to migrate workload to Python 3.7. Python 2.7 is shipped with the product to make sure existing customers can successfully migrate to supported python version without breaking any existing code.
We have already announced End of Life for Watson Studio Local and we are not adding any new features in this product. Customers are required to migrate to Cloud Pak for Data. On Cloud Pak for Data Python 2.7 is removed and only supported Python versions are available.
