Unload LOCK YES Drain Writers instead of executing LOCK TABLE

When executing HPU in Native MODE with parameters ULLOCK = YES, ULLOCKTE = LOCK and ULLOCKMO = NATIVE_ONLY HPU executes a EXEC SQL LOCK TABLE. Sometimes table being locked is in a TS whose a IX TS lock was left in DB2 due to this table be used in persistent threads (like IMS PWFI) with RELEASE DEALLOCATE. When this occurs LOCK TABLE issued by HPU fails.

Our suggestion is: could HPU has ULLOCKTE like DRAIN, which won't issue a LOCK TABLE stmt ?

Instead of LOCK TABLE, HPU will ask DB2 to DRAIN writers, the same way DB2 Unload utility does.

    Thank you for your interest in Db2 Tools and for the feature request. However, we won't be able to implement this feature in the near future. To support this feature, we need support from Db2. Db2 currently does not have a plan to externalize the drain interface directly that is used internally. We will reconsider when Db2 plan changes.
