Limit password characters

Our security guidelines for compatibility with multiple different systems state that passwords should include only English characters. (plus special and numerical ones of course) But there is no way to enforce such a limit on the Netezza database ...

User lock for a few hours after failed log on attempts

For security reasons after multiple failed log in attempts a users account should be blocked for a limited time. Right now the system only allows for permanent lock of account and that is problematic as each unlock needs to be done manually.

nz group read access to nz logs

We are limiting the usage of nz / root accounts in out company to have tracebility of who does what. And with that access to logs is impossible. There is no reason access to logs should be prevented for nz group.
