We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
IDAA Stored Procedure for executing dmshowbookmark on CDC for Netezza side
I am requesting the creation of an IDAA stored procedure that can be called via DB2 z/OS that will in turn execute the dmshowbookmark CDC command on the IDAA box and return the results to the stored procedure caller.
Ability to add columns to DB2 z/OS tables without impacting IDAA or incremental update
Currently, adding a column to a DB2 z/OS table that is using IDAA with incremental update involves:1) Adding the column in DB2 z/OS2) Stopping replication for all IDAA tables3) Dropping the affected table from IDAA4) Adding the affected table back...
The ability to have latency affect IDAA routing decisions
The ability to take into account latency for IDAA incremental update tables should be taken into account when the DB2 z/OS optimizer determines whether or not to route a query to IDAA. The ability should also be provided to turn this heuristic on...
DB2 should not attempt to start accelerators until TCP/IP connectivity is established
IDAA accelerators are needed to speed up processing many of our DB2 queries..We require that the accelerators are started and functional after a DB2 starts up. If they are not functional, this will result in production query slowdowns and other o...
1. Product: IDAA Version 32. Actor: Manufacturing customers who have “Parts†table which uses hierarchical navigation, using DB2 for z/OS. 3. Description: At this moment recursive SQL syntax ( recursive common table expression ) is not support...
IDAA's support of CAST function for Unicode to EBCDIC conversion.
1. Product: IDAA Version 32. Actor: Customers who want to accelerate their EBCDIC query applications and tables using IDAA. 3. Description: Netezza stores data in Unicode UTF-8. Currently we can 'add' and 'load' DB2 for z/OS EBCDIC tables to IDAA,...
