We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Watson Discovery uses stemming to identify valid matches. Based on our experience it appears that stemming is applied in both Natural Language Queries and also Discovery Language Queries. It seems to also enforced in phrase searching. This is usef...
Currently we need to re-ingest documents to update any enrichment.
This is specifically not very practical when we have WKS model involved. If the model is refined & updated, we need to re-ingest the docs. This is very annoying for customers ...
Right now if you want to delete all documents, you either need to delete the collection (which could mean code changes to point to a new ID), or you need to write a script to delete every document one by one which is time consuming.
Currently maximum document size, which can be processed by WD for CP4D is 32Mb. It is very small size limit considering any document which may have embedded images can be much larger. Even WEX limits were higher (up to 128Mb for WEX AC). Please co...
Allow an optional "Callback URL" in "Add Document" Discovery API request
We, frequently, write services to poll Discovery for a document's status after we POST a document for ingestion. If, within the request body, we could include a callback URL for Discovery to asynchronously POST a completion message to, we could cu...
When uploading a trained WKS model as machine learning enrichment, only entities are detected and indexed, but not subtypes (on WD for CP4D).Please also consider supporting subtypes in the planned real-time NLP feature.
Allow user defined dictionary for Kuromoji tokenization use under Japanese
Requesting to allow users to define their list of user_dictionary words for the purpose of Kuromoji’s tokenizer. I understand that WDS uses Kuromoji underneath for Japanese language. A key function of Kuromoji as the morphological analyzer for Jap...
Develop a collection of REST APIs and SDKs that allow to automate IBM Watson Knowledge Studio functions
Develop functions that allow to automate IBM Watson Knowledge Studio activities in Python like:
1- Upload entities and relationships
2- Upload dicts associating it to entities
3- Upload files to be annotate
4- Run annotators, specially dictionnary...
Map dictionaries to subtypes and provide evaluation stats for subtypes
Currently, only being able to map dictionaries to entity types makes bootstrapping projects with subtypes very difficult. It also eliminates a major way to improve recall. Additionally, not being able to see stats at the subtype level makes it alm...
Many times, customer assumes that WDS will apply enrichments to the question also and use that to help in search. This is not currently the case. WDS need to have a way where by default (or by config) NLU enrichments can be applied on the question...
