The function LENGTH () also for BLOBs / CLOBs

Unfortunately, there is no SQL statement that returns the size of the blob. You have to use an external program to get such information. I wish the sql function length() worked for BLOBs/CLOBs.

Get database transaction info on dbaccess

Onmonitor has disappeared on 12.10. dbaccess → Database → Info should have a method to retrieve the transaction level of a database (Buffered, Unbuffered, Ansi, None)

Add timestamp on sysmater to know when an open transaction has been created

Add a creation timestamp for each transaction so users can monitor how long a transaction has been open. Maybe like in others sysmaster tables, a column on systrans will be great.

'onstat -g mem' should give a complete picture of all memory usage by an Informix instance

Currently 'onstat -g mem' does not include vp cache information and some other memory structures. Similarly syspools view is missing information too.
