The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
BMC Software has an agreement with IBM to host multiple Customers in BMC's Watson account.
BMC invites a Customer's admin user(s) who have Admin permissions on the Resource group created for the Customer. A Customer can have a Watson Assistant / Watson Discovery / Watson Tone anlyzer instance purchased from BMC Software in this Resource group.
We have to provide Admin permissions to Customer's Admin Users as they need to invite other User's from Customer's organization and provide them access to the Watson services purchased by the Customer as well as customize OOTB workspacs populated for Chatbot in Watson Assistant or create new custom Workspaces. We want to enable Customer's for self service.
At the same time, we want to prevent Customer's Admin User from creating any new Watson service instances or upgrading service plan or changing environment size for Watson Discovery.
These actions should be only performed by BMC based on capacity / SKU purchased by the Customet and not by Customer's Admin User.
Hence we want granular level permissions for controlling the above. This applies to all Watson services and product area should be IAM but there is no such area in aha portal and hence filed this idea for Watson Assistant.
This has been discussed with Watson Assistant OM Mitch Myers on 5 Mar 21 and I am filing an aha request for the same. This has also been mentioned to IBM multiple times in the past.
