Autosave feature in Cognos Controller

We would like to request the addition of an Autosave feature in Cognos Controller, particularly when using the Data Entry function (integrated with the Controller Excel link) for entering reported company values.

Currently, users experience data loss when Controller or Excel is abruptly closed without saving. This causes inconvenience and rework, especially during critical data input tasks.

An Autosave feature would greatly improve user experience by reducing the risk of data loss due to unforeseen circumstances like system crashes or accidental closures.

We appreciate your consideration of this enhancement request, as it would help improve workflow efficiency and data reliability for our users.

    The topic of implicit Save versus explict save continues to be we will continue to discuss going further; What should be analysed is also the origin of crashes.
