Customize where Team Content folder appears

In Cognos 11.1.2 we were able to hide Team Content from the home page because we were able to set up a Custom folder from which our clients were able to launch reports. However all of the packages used to create dashboards were located in the Team Content folder, when our clients created a dashboard and were presented with the screen to select a source, even though Team Content was hidden from the home screen, it appeared on the select a source screen so that our clients were able to select one of the packages to create their dashboard. This feature went away in Cognos  releases 11.1.4 and 11.1.5 we did not test on 11.1.3.

To avoid confusion it is important to hide Team Content from the  home screen, since we've already provided a custom folder from which to launch their reports. Having team content on the home screen would have provided a confusing way to launch reports and expose packages which weren't needed on that screen. Providing access to the Team Content folder during the dashboard creating process in a more logical place to allow our clients access to the packages needed to build their dashboards.

In Cognos customized features I propose that hiding Team Content under the Reporting>Navigation Bar would only hide it on the Navigation Bar on the reporting home page and that setting would be independent of the Dashboard>Navigation Bar Team Content setting.

This change to how Team Content is hidden was made to bring greater secrity and consistency to the product, though I understand that for this use case, it has been more of a hinderence than a help. We plan to improve our customizability in releases planned for later in 2020 and early 2021, hopefully this will help with your use case!
