Add output format option to drill through in dashboards

Currently there is no option to specify a target report output format in drill throughs created in Dashboards. And to make things worse, when a default output format is set on the target report (ex. to run in Excel format) this is completely ignored and the target report always runs in HTML.


Reports are designed to run in other formats so should be ran accordingly.


Please add an option to specify output format creating drill through in dashboards, similar to the drill through options already existing in reports.

    It would be better to just vote on the original, rather than spread the votes around.

    External clients from my company want a direct excel output as the drill-through report result is too hard to perform further operations like copying to their systems. The extra layer of export is just time-consuming if people cannot determine the output format directly.

    Drill through definition in dashboards doesn't have option to open report in a new window, same functionality as drill through between reports. We have disabled the upper banner for our end users which cause a problem for them to navigate back to the dashboard.
