pass a parameter through to dashboard link/url

As a user of the CRM system, I want to view a screen for a given Customer ABCDE and click on a Cognos Dashboard URL and let the session dynamically pass the variable ABCDE into the Dashboard URL so that the Cognos Dashboard opens up already filtered to Customer ABCDE.


Users have to manually select filters once Dashboard opens to get back to the context they were already in during their CRM session.


Proposed solution is that we will have to move our dashboards to Power BI as this has been proven to work seamlessly.

This manual work around will occur accross various associates 200 times a day.
