Support for setting control focus and tabindex should be added to Report Studio.

Several hours were spent trying to determine the best way to set the focus on a specific control, and tabindex of all controls, on a prompt page at report run time. I managed to get some JavaScript in place that allows me to select a control by default at run time, but this solution ended up being quite cumbersome and not intuitive to anyone that is not a JavaScript guru.

I believe functionality like this should be natively supported as part of applicable controls (Textboxes and the like) and not left to the end user to mash together some JavaScript to get basic user interface functionality to work.
