LDAP Object Filter in Cognos Connection / Administration

We have a very flat LDAP structure, with 500.000 Users in one OU. Everytime I want to add/ remove users in Cognos Connections / Administration, all 500.000 Users were parsed which leads to timeouts or extremly long waiting periods. We need the possibility to do ldap object-filtering in cognos connections. I want to use for example such filtering possibilities:

(|(groupmembership=cn=COGNOS-ADM,ou=COGNOS,ou=GRP,o=COMPANY)(groupmembership=cn=COGNOS-AUTHOR,ou=COGNOS,ou=GRP,o=COMPANY)(groupmembership=cn=COGNOS-PROF,ou=COGNOS,ou=GRP,o=COMPANY))

So that I only see the members of these groups in Cognos-Connections. At the moment I'm running in timeouts when browsing for users.
