Enhance Event Studio to support emailing multiple report outputs for same recipient separately

Our requirement is to email a bursted report to business users and to have the subject line indicate the policy# and a few other pieces of information. Once the report is bursted, one ore more report outputs will be created for the same recipient. In order to get the subject line to read the policy# and the other values, we need to use Event Studio. However when we use Event Studio to run/burst the report and then email the corresponding report output, the recipient is receiving multiple emails each with all the report outputs assigned to them. Example - after bursting the report, 8 report output were created for John Doe. When the email task executues, John receives 8 emails each containing all 8 report outputs. The only thing that differs between emails is the subject line. So the user receives 8 emails each with 8 attachments or a total of 64 attachments in all. Basically the email task in Event Studio just figures out how many outputs exist for each recipient and then attachs them regarless of the burst key used in the subject line.

What we need is for Event Studio to email 8 times each with one and only one attachment based on the policy# (burst key) in the subject line. I'm hoping for an enhancement which would link the burst key used in the subject line to the report output.

I logged a PRM for this and found out that Cognos does not support this functionality in the current state. What we are using as a workaround is emailing each recipient once and the email will contain all 8 attachments. We accomplished this by removing the burst key from the subject line so only one email would be sent per recipient.

The issues with this approach include:

1. Not meeting customer expectation
2. At some point the email might fail if too many report outputs are attached to one email. Our Outlook server allows for emails up to 10mb to be sent. Anything over that will be rejected. The size and number of attachments will vary each day for each recipient.
