Include "Always create extended data items" option in CA11

In Cognos 10.2.2 - When authoring report based on TM1/Planning Analytics Cube – we have the "Extended Data Item" option disabled in the Report Studio options (Tools menu) so our users are able to edit data item items which you drag into new reports .
However in Cognos Analytics 11 report authoring mode report property "Always create extended data items" not available .
Please find the detail word document showing comparison between Cognos 10.2.2 and CA 11.

This is adversely affecting our user experience with CA 11

    Report management/maintenance done by the BI developer would greatly be enhanced with this feature. It is not uncommon to need to go back into a report to make modifications for a given number of reasons. Without having the ability to modify the expression definition of a particular data item means that we will need to create a new data item and perform a swap. Any type of formatting being done on the canvas using the old data item would then need to be reapplied. This can take quite a bit of time depending on how intricate the formatting (e.g. conditional styles). Please consider.

    This option was very useful in C10. Please implement it in CA
