Dashboards to handle prompt macros from FM packages

Some framework models use prompt macro's in the query subjects for filtering and security purposes. These do not work properly in dashboarding. #prompt()# works in the dashboard page but if you put a data item in the filters section at the top of the dashboard, the filter does not populate with data. #promptmany()# does not work at all. If dashboarding is supporting framework models then features like this should also be supported to allow the users to continue with the functionality they use in studio's such as query studio. The Request submitted is TS001312766.

This seems like a defect (something that worked in 10.x but doesn't work in 11.x). It seems it was added here as an Idea/Enhancement request in an effort to bring some attention to it and get it fixed even though the text above says this area is not for defects. This demonstrates how important this is to the submitter and everyone who voted on it. The comment below from July 2021 says this has been a problem for 3 years (so that would be 4 years now). I manage a product which includes Analytics as an optional add-on. My customers are now complaining about this. It would be great if this could be prioritized and fixed...

This missing functionality is highly impacting our migration plans to C11.2 as advanced development and designs like usage of prompt macros are not anticipated for dashboard usage, requesting prioritization for this concern specially that it has affected clients for 3 years already.

It's unfortunate that this defect has been left unattended for 3 years. This defect impacting our upgrade plans to C11.2. Packages that work with advanced modeling in 10.2.2 does not work in C11, that's to me backward. Dashboarding being native feature of C11, should support prompt macro in pacakges to encourgae adaption from users. Case submitted from our end, TS006200231. Please prioritize fix for this defect, and provide us an IF. Thank you.
