@stuart king,
Any updates on this feature of when it will be release? I'm not even sure it will address our needs...
We need to access a specific sandbox environment to massively push information from Excel sheets using DBSW formula into the sandbox. We really need the sandbox environment to confirm and validate that what we massively pushed have the expected results before validate it into the base.
Planned for future release. Sandboxes will be supported in the currently unreleased PAfE Universal report (delivery is in Q3 2023) sometime after the initial Universal report release. We are no longer planning to add sandbox support in Custom and Dynamic reports.
Note that we do expect our customers that need sandbox support in formal mode reports to migrate to Universal reports when they become available.
This is planned for 1H 2022
Many of our customers upload values from their workings via DBSW's to their Sandbox for review.
Once reviewed and they are satisfied with the results, they commit and merge their changes to the base.
In PAfE they are no longer able to do this and cannot perform functions previously performed in Perspectives.
This is particularly problematic as the client is PAOC. No workarounds short of redevelopment.
PAfE API does not seem to have a capability to switch sandboxes either.
