We are evaluating this requirement to be supported in the UI. However it is supported through the API layer: https://cloud.ibm.com/apidocs/data-ai-common-core-cpd/data-ai-common-core-cpd-5.1.0#patchrelationshiptype
Cardinality can only be changed from 1 to 'Many', but not from 'Many' to 1.

Use case:
This feature would provide much needed flexibility in managing assets relationships. relationships between assets often evolve, and being able to update the cardinality from "One to One " to "One to Many" through the UI or API would make the system more adaptable and reduce manual rework or workaround configurations.
Hi Marcus, Following is an example screenshot. Users like have an option to change asset relationship cardinality from "One to One" to "One to Many" or vice versa.
