Enable one Git Repository to be integrated with multiple CP4D Projects

There is currently the following limitation on Git Integration into Analytics Projects:

  • Each project must have its own Git repository. No two projects can use the same Git repository. This is especially relevant when working in projects with JupyterLab and RStudio. You can’t create a project to work with JupyterLab and associate your new project with the Git repository that you used in another project with JupyterLab.

However, we have a client who uses a single Git repository to store code for multiple use cases, thus would like to be able to access code stored in a single Git repository within multiple Analytics Projects.

Hi Demond - Thank you for your idea. This idea unfortunately breaks some architecture principles built in Watson Studio and Cloud Pak for Data. Current research suggests that it would cause conflicts within Cloud Pak for Data projects. Can you comment on the problems you are trying to solve here? Perhaps we can consider another approach.

    Thanks,
    Doug Stauber
