For migration of on premise Db2 database to a cloud service, the usability of db2move would help a lot.
For now you have to use manual LOAD commands to load data for each single table to the Db2 on cloud service.
db2move can be used from the on premise system to EXPORT the data very fast, but to transfer the data to the cloud service database IMPORT is the only option so far.
While export takes minutes, the remote IMPORT takes hours!
LOAD command can be used from local (client) system, but command has to be defined manually for each single table to specify the absolute path of the export file.
Why can't db2move simply use the absolute path to the files and specify CLIENT option for the load command if it's dealing with a remote database?
This seems to me to be a quite simple change for this utility and would save tons of hours for manual LOAD command specification or script development for such a DB cloud migration project.
