Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
LOAD / ADMIN_MOVE_TABLE COPY YES and LOB improvements
In an OLTP / TSA HADR environment .. When using the COPY YES on ADMIN_MOVE_TABLE it uses LOAD under the covers. When LOBs are involved howere it writes out the full buffer 64k up to several 100k is written out per column/per row to a file which is created on some central storage. For 100k + rows this buffer write for each row/column becomes huge. This request is to create a more efficient system of writing the LOB field out for use with COPY YES LOAD/ADMIN_MOVE_TABLE. If the average size of the lob is 4k or 5k it seems like a good candidate for buffer size. If there is an overflow should be an intelligent way to trap it or build the buffer based on size of the lob.
