ADD SMF89 to install panels for DB2

while installing db2 or upgrading zparms I need to go in an manually change the zparm from SMF89=NO to YES everytime I ran the installation parm. If another systems programmer doesnt know this there is the risk that they copy over SMF89=YES and now im not in compliance with SCRT reporting. I would like to have SMF89 added as an option on the installation panel to prevent this issue.

    Hello,

    The Db2 for z/OS Development team re-reviewed this request and provided the following feedback:

    The SMF89 is an opaque zPARM. Like all other opaque zPARMS, it is not displayed on any install panel for modification. Unfortunately, it is not right to make an exception for SMF89.

    Therefore, we will not be considering this request.

    Janet,

    Bruce would be better able to assess this request. It is a request to add
    SMF89 specification to an installation panel, and probably update the
    ZPARMs JCL.
