Utility Flashcopy Templates verification in UTILINIT phase.

Running a reorg tablespace with a FlashCopy image copy instead of a classic image copy can lead to a successful reorg but a COPY Pending status if the FCCOPYDDN parm is pointing to a missing SYSTEMPL template although the System Action for the DSNU1006I message is 'Utility processing is not initiated.'

In addition, when running the reorg with ITEMERROR PREVIEW after having corrected the FCCOPYDDN templates to verify the utility SYNTAX it fails with a RC8, ¿should it end with RC4?.

    The REORG utility in Db2 12 has been enhanced to ensure that if the FlashCopy fails for whatever reason then the REORG itself will fail and the object will not be left in copy pending at the end of the utility run.
