Support for JWT as authentication method in Db2 for z/OS

Applications running on other platforms are planning to use the technologies around JWT (JavaScript Web Token) for authentication where a JWT will be signed and by an issuer using a private key. When calling another application the JWT will be provided in the HTTP Authorization  request header field as a Bearer token and the receiving application will then check the signature of the JWT by using the related public key. (This is of course the short version of the story) 

 

Applications, as described above will also call Db2 REST services and would like their HTTP calls to be authenticated by sending a JWT.
