select ... from final table ( update table for portion of business time from ... )

the problem is that an update table for portition of business time can effect more than 1 row and if this is made in a bitemporal environment the System Start is set to the first change timestamp. But you didn't know the exact time you have to read afterwards the system start time from this changed row. Because you want to avoid this to Db2 back and again to Db2 and back the only chance is to have the select ... from final table ( update table for portion of business time from ... ) which now gives a -109 SQLCode.

in our shop we have prices for every item which has this price @ time @ house scenario where this is used 100.000 times a day.

Also we have the opening times with the same scenario. This changes are not so often but it would be good also to have this solution.

In this Idea it is not the History table which has to be read its only the original table because as the syntax say from final table which is for me the original one.
