IFCID 105 contains information needed to map DBID/OBID values to object names. This information is produced on the STATS interval and contains mapping for EVERY object currently open to DB2.
On large systems, thousands of IFCID 105 records may be produced EVERY minute, AND these records will contain largely the same information each time. Therefore, is is not really feasible to activate this trace record, lest you take a significant performance hit for little returned value.
A better approach, in my opinion, would be to make IFCID 105 available synchronously via the IFI READS facility.

Dear Thomas, Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. The Db2 for z/OS team has been busy reviewing it and provided the following feedback:
We don't see a need for an IFI READS for IFCID 105. There's an existing IFI READS for IFCID 199 to get information about objects that are active in Db2. IFCID 199 includes the DBID for the database and the OBID for the table space or index space. To convert the DBID/OBID to names, the Db2 catalog can be queried.
For example,
SELECT DBNAME, NAME, DBID, PSID
FROM SYSIBM.SYSTABLESPACE
or
SELECT DBNAME, INDEXSPACE, DBID, ISOBID
FROM SYSIBM.SYSINDEXES
Based on the above, we will not be considering this idea. However, please do continue to submit enhancement requests for our consideration as we review each and every one as a potential candidate to improve the Db2 for z/OS product.
Sincerely
The Db2 for z/OS team
