Set Special Registers with profile tables for local applications

It would be nice to set the current explain mode (special register) with the help of profile tables (dsn_profile_table & dsn_profile_attributes) for local applications. In our case it's CICS. At the moment it's only possible for remote applications.

For Example:

-- example insert in profile table.

insert into sysibm.dsn_profile_table

(authid, profileid,profile_enabled)

values

('cicsid', 1, 'Y');


insert into sysibm.dsn_profile_attributes

(profileid, keywords,attribute1)

values

(1,'SPECIAL_REGISTER','SET CURRENT EXPLAIN MODE = YES');

-> After a restart of the profile all dynamic SQL running under 'cicsid' would be explained in the explain tables. (e.g. plan_table, dsn_statement_cache_table,...)

    Dear Luca, Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. Our Db2 for z/OS engineering team has reviewed it and determined this is an enhancement we cannot deliver short term, but we will keep it in our backlog for review/consideration for a future deliverable.
